Frequently asked questions
What is Bynomeans?
Bynomeans is a premium range of non-alcoholic botanical drinks crafted specifically to elevate dining and celebration. By layering culinary botanicals, fruits, and organic teas we build the texture, complexity, and length you’d expect from a fine wine.
Our drinks are made for the table and meant to be savoured and shared like a nice bottle of wine — just without the alcohol.
Is Bynomeans a sparkling tea or de-alcoholised wine?
Neither. While we use premium organic teas (like white tea) as part of our structural canvas, Bynomeans is a bespoke botanical blend built from the ground up.
Traditional non-alcoholic wines are de-alcoholised, which can strip away body and flavour.
Instead, we use real culinary ingredients — like verjus, sun-dried bananas for texture, and whole spices — to deliver the precise acidity, weight, and complexity required to complement a meal.
How do you achieve the texture and weight of wine without alcohol?
This is where our hospitality roots and kitchen experimentation come into play. We use carefully selected organic teas for natural tannins, verjus and culinary vinegars for precise food-friendly acidity, and innovative techniques — such as utilising sun-dried bananas or fig molasses — to give the drink a velvety, weighted length on the palate.
Is Bynomeans designed to be paired with food?
Yes, absolutely. Bynomeans was born in a restaurant kitchen specifically to solve for the lack of complex, dry, non-alcoholic food and beverage pairings. Every profile we create is made for the table.
For example, our Bynomeans 'Rosé' has the grip and brightness to slice through richer dishes and fish, our Bynomeans 'Pinot Gris' pairs beautifully with raw seafood and fresh herbs, and our Bynomeans 'Pinot Noir' is a perfect match for duck, pasta, or winter vegetables.
What is the best way to serve Bynomeans?
Serve it cellar-temperature to chilled, exactly as your personal preference with wine. Because it is meant to be savoured and shared like a special bottle of wine, we recommend pouring Bynomeans into a high-quality wine glass to let the complex fruit aromas and botanical aromatics truly open up.
Does Bynomeans contain artificial sweeteners or added sugar?
We do not use any artificial sweeteners. We use a minimal amount of cane sugar alongside real fruit and verjus to perfectly balance our culinary acidity and carry our botanical flavours. Our focus is always on achieving a dry, sophisticated finish rather than sweetness.
What are the ingredients?
We believe in complete transparency and use natural, culinary-grade ingredients — such as organic teas, real fruit, and whole botanicals — to build our profiles. To ensure our drinks remain fresh, vibrant, and stable in the bottle, we protect them with a minimal amount of sulphites, exactly like a traditional premium wine. Full ingredient lists for each expression can be found on their respective product pages.
Is there any alcohol in Bynomeans?
No. Bynomeans is strictly 0.0% ABV. Unlike dealcoholised wines and fermented drinks which may contain trace amounts of residual alcohol (up to 0.5%), our botanical brewing process ensures absolutely zero alcohol from start to finish.
Are Bynomeans products vegan and gluten-free?
Yes. Our drinks are crafted entirely from plant-based, culinary ingredients — including organic teas, real fruit, and whole botanicals — meaning they are naturally vegan and contain no gluten. While we do not hold official third-party certification stamps on our labels yet, our formulations are completely free from animal products and gluten-containing ingredients.
Which restaurants pour Bynomeans, and where else is it stocked?
